The group currently plays one composition by Keith Tippett (Linuckea, approx. 35 minutes). The piece is 90% composed and 10% improvised and will require some rehearsal time depending on length of time since previous performance. A second set of improvisation (Keith solo) or contemporary classical solos or duos using the same string players can be organized. Please contact us to discuss your preferred requirements.

Due to record a Keith Tippett composition And After All It Was in the studio in April 2003. Dedicated to the memory of Keith's mother Kitty this 25-minute piece was commissioned and performed by Kokoro but as yet no recording exists. The new line-up has never played in public as a unit and would require rehearsal.

Keith Tippett's current major jazz big band which unites some of the best contemporary jazz and free improvising musicians from the UK scene of the last thirty years. The repertoire currently consists of one long composition First Weaving (approx. 80 minutes), Keith's tribute to and celebration of the first hundred years of jazz. Full of melodies the piece is typically fresh and forward-looking with room for every single musician to stretch out in solos and group work. Further commissions sought.
